Lions on ‘Track’ for Diocesan Meet Next Week

On Sunday afternoon, St. Leo’s Track & Field team participated in the Sectional Qualifying Meet at Salesian High School in Concord. The athletes who competed and qualified in this meet will be going on to the Diocesan Meet next week for the championships.

St. Leo’s is part of the “Section II” group of track and field teams in the Oakland CYO. There are three sections total, and all teams (almost 700 athletes!) in the Diocese will compete at the Diocean Meet next week for the championships.

The championships will be held on Friday, May 8th at James Logan High School in Union City, and Saturday, May 9th at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill. Good luck Lions!
