Decorating Boxes for Canned Goods Drive

by: A.A. • November 16, 2010

St. Leo the Great students made Thanksgiving baskets today which will be sent to shelters. With this box they will put in the canned goods that have been collected for the past two weeks.

Students got into their faith family groups this morning. They usually discuss things like: “what is a family?” or “how can we be like Jesus?” But today they had the chance to decorate pictures related to Thanksgiving and put it on a box.

The great thing about this activity is that it shows how the students help out for a cause. The boxes are decorated with love and care. St. Leo has a tradition of doing this for many years now.

Students also brought in three dollars each which will be donated to the hungry.
